How To Clean Up Diatomaceous Earth

You will need to clean up the Diatomaceous Earth before repeating the application process and after you are done with the treatment process. 



Before you proceed to any vacuuming and wiping, you may want to sweep the large amount of Diatomaceous Earth and dispose it into a sealed bag.


There are limitation to the types of vacuum cleaner you could use to clean up the Diatomacoeus Earth otherwise it may cause malfunction of your vacuum cleaner. We highly recommend using "Shop Vacuum" to vacuum the Diatomaceous Earth. If you do not own any "Shop Vacuum", you may opt for a bag-less vacuum cleaner, but you will have to be alert on the dust collected. Dispose and clean it every few minutes to prevent from destroying your vacuum cleaner. Please do wash your vacuum cleaner after usage. 

Mop/Damp Cloth

Wet the mop/cloth with water and wipe away the Diatomaceous Earth on the surfaces that you applied to. Clean and repeat until there are no leftover Diatomaceous Earth.

Diatomaceous Earth is environmentally safe to human and pets however, we do recommend you to wear a mask and gloves during the application process. Diatomaceous Earth may cause eyes, skin and respiratory irritation.

Potential Risks

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Wear a mask to prevent from excessive breath in of Diatomaceous Earth that may cause breathing difficulty.
Skin: Exposure to Diatomaceous Earth on your skin can cause dryness. Wash off with water, wear a glove to prevent skin from dryness.

Eyes: Flush with water. Wear a safety goggles if it irritates your eyes.
